October Newsletter

Getting to know our new staff members:

Hello, Butler!  My name is Eric Cunningham and I am currently the 4th and 5th grade Reading/Language Arts teacher.

After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s of Arts in English, I began working as an Associate Editor for some online publications.  It wasn’t long after that I decided to go back to school to become a teacher.  I just felt like I needed to do more with my life!   I chose to go to MVNU and graduated with a Masters degree in Education.  For the last 5 years, I have taught grades 6-9 in Reading/Language Arts and Social Studies in Mansfield.

My family and I are thrilled to be a part of this community!  My wife Tina and I will be married for 10 years this October and we love everything we have learned about Butler so far.  Both of us grew up in small communities very similar to this one, and we look forward to raising our family here with you all.  I am the very proud father of 4-year-old twins Isabel and Jack. I look forward to the day that they will walk the halls of Butler Elementary themselves.

While teaching fourth and fifth grade will be a new challenge for me, I can’t help but be thankful for all of the support I have received throughout the building.  I know I made the right choice coming to the Valley!  I hope that I can repay you all by preparing your students for the big leap into the middle school.

SAFETY ALERTS

WE ARE MOVING DIRT…..Please follow our procedure for school visitors

A letter was sent home in September regarding a new policy in place at Butler Elementary.  ALL visitors must use door A2 to enter the building.  Please sign in with Miss Sally in the office and get a visitor’s lanyard.  Please DO NOT walk your children into the building anymore when you drop them off to school.
